ClefSonic Reference System

Mono Block Power • Precision Preamplifier

Where voltage becomes emotion and watts become weightless. A dedicated Class AB mono block and silent preamplifier, built for listeners who still believe in metal, wood and heat sinks.

Overview

Beyond the Spec Sheet

The ClefSonic Reference System pairs a high-current Class AB mono block with a low-noise analog preamplifier. Oversized linear power supplies, generous output devices and carefully chosen audio-grade components give the system effortless control over real-world loudspeakers, even at reference levels.

System Concept

Instead of asking one chassis to do everything, ClefSonic divides the heavy lifting: the mono block handles sheer current and voltage swing, while the preamplifier focuses on purity, channel separation and noise performance. They are voiced together as one instrument, but built as two dedicated tools.

Highlights
  • • 500 W @ 8 Ω mono block with deep current reserves
  • • Class AB topology with 8 complementary output pairs (16 devices)
  • • Separate preamplifier for ultra-low noise and crosstalk
  • • Fully analog signal path — no DSP in the audio chain
  • • DC, soft-start and overcurrent protection on the speaker outputs
Mono Block

500 Watts of Calm Authority

The ClefSonic Mono Block runs refined Class AB amplification with a generously biased output stage. With eight matched complementary transistor pairs clamped to a massive heatsink assembly, the amplifier maintains a firm grip on difficult speakers, turning large dynamic swings into a sense of ease rather than strain.

Amplifier Architecture
  • Topology: High-current Class AB mono power amplifier
  • Output stage: 8 complementary pairs (16 high-power devices)
  • Power supply: 1200 VA toroidal transformer with multi-stage filtering
  • Reservoir: 24 × 10,000 µF / 100 V capacitors (120,000 µF per rail)
  • Protection: DC offset detection, overcurrent limiting, soft-start relay
  • Metering: Analog VU meter for real-time power feedback
Listening Experience

At low levels, the mono block renders detail and micro-dynamics with ease. As volume rises, the presentation stays composed: bass remains anchored, vocals stay centered, and the soundstage refuses to collapse. You hear power, but you don’t hear effort.

Preamplifier

The Silent Partner

The ClefSonic Preamplifier is designed to vanish from the chain. Clean gain, intelligent grounding and separation of noisy and sensitive stages allow your sources to breathe, while maintaining precise control over level and channel balance.

Connectivity
  • Inputs: Multiple RCA and optional XLR balanced inputs
  • Outputs: Dedicated mono block feeds via RCA / XLR
  • Volume: Precision analog volume control
  • Bypass: Optional direct / home-theater bypass (configurable)
Voicing

The preamplifier is tuned for neutrality with a touch of warmth — enough to keep long sessions inviting, without masking low-level detail. Noise and hum are kept vanishingly low, even with high-efficiency loudspeakers.

Key Specifications

Final specifications may vary slightly as production is refined, but the architecture and intent of the design remain constant: stability, headroom and low distortion under real-world loads.

Finishes

Finishes & Craft

ClefSonic components are built to live in the room, not hide in the rack. Metalwork, knobs and meters follow a classic studio-meets-living-room aesthetic, with finishes that respect both the music and the furniture.

Obsidian Black

Micro-bead-blasted panels, satin black front and an amber VU backlight for a low-key, late-night presentation.

Titan Silver

Brushed aluminum front, dark chassis and a neutral white meter backlight for a clean, modern studio feel.

Warm Walnut

Wooden side cheeks paired with a dark front panel, bringing a touch of classic hi-fi furniture into the room.

Custom front-panel engraving and alternative VU meter backlight colors are available on request.

What to Include

For the most accurate recommendation, it helps to know:

  • • Room size and approximate listening distance
  • • Loudspeakers and their sensitivity / impedance
  • • Preferred genres and typical listening levels
  • • Whether you plan to run one or two mono blocks
